Thickness doesn't affect wing mass or coefficient of drag
Thickness not change the wing mass. I think it should.
Also it seems that the thickness doesn't affect the coefficient of drag value, which I think it should. too
This is currently intentional on both counts. I should put this up for debate somewhere as this is the second or third comment on this recently
I have noticed this problem when building very small wings for missiles. The weight of the wing and drag makes them less agile and slower
logically, you are correct, however lift parameter calculation for stock that was published for 1.0 (new aero) was based only on lifting area. The current setup is intended to remain as close to stock as possible, hence the hesitation.
I wouldn't expect a significant difference in mass with thickness (wing considered to be a mostly hollow shell structure), so possibly just modifying the drag would retain the stock alignment. I will need to check how drag is calculated and how stock surfaces vary (if at all)
Drag should be varying with thickness, it is established by the drag cube from what I can tell which is created by stock part collider
