Recent items do not show when # items history > # show in menu

Hi there, I'm not sure if this is the intended behavior or usage, but I want to show about 35 items in the Clipit menu, but I want to have a much larger extended history of copied items. However, when the "Items in history" is greater than "Items in menu", it no longer shows the most recent items in the menu, although they are available in the history. Thanks a lot!
