[Android TV] UI for using the app on TV
I hope some of this is already covered in your roadmap for Android TV support, here are a few Items I would like to see, as this app is a great app to use with my self-hosted set up.
- Reduce the size of the image for album cover to make space for other important elements.
- The album cover and lyrics should re-use the same area on the screen.
- The playback controls should be visible on the TV UI without having to scroll down to the bottom to see it.
- [Personal opinion] - Display lyrics area to cover 50-60 % the screen area, and the rest for playback controls and navigation.
Quick mockup for the new now-playing screen, now a separate tab in the navbar instead of being a bottom sheet scaffold, it didn't play very nicely with android tv in general. It's not finished and feedback is much appreciated.
This looks great, and I am looking forward to using this updated UI when its ready.
Totally agree with you that this is a better now playing screen for the TV and this might make it straight forward to use with remote as well.
