Support for other sites?

Is it possible to support other sites as well with this plugin? I'm looking for a similar solution for the European platform Izneo, since it also doesn't allow exporting a backup cbz copy of purchased comics.

Every online reader uses its own software and requires its own set of hacks to create backups from. Keeping the backup software up to date with the online reader requires that someone with an account on that site maintains the backup software and is prepared to fix it every time the site makes a change which breaks it (and that they do so without breaking other readers). Because of differences in every reader, it's likely far less effort to maintain such a piece of software in its own code base. That would also keep the "visibility" of this software lower - the more platforms it supports, the more risk there is of "unwanted attention" from book site operators.

I would love if it could be adjusted for DCUniverse. Especially with the amount of comics they have made available

@thejameschamp I think the problem will be that everyone will want their favorite site added, which will add bloat and maintenance issues for the devs. It's best to keep the plugin for one site, and focus on that one site. That way when issues arise, they can be fixed quicker and with less stress for the developers. You may be able to find a different plugin that will work for DC Universe or a fork of this one that works, but the devs have stated in the past they are not interested in supporting more sites.

Sorry for being unresponsive for so long. As @Taubin said, it's better if this extension stays focused on a single platform. Since there is not much chance for code reuse when adding support for another site, doing so would effectively require the development of a new backup tool anyway.

@thejameschamp Since readdc.com is based on the cmxlgy platform, we could however add support for them. In fact the old readdcentertainment.com domain was already supported but then not updated after the rename. I'll keep this issue open as a reminder to change that.

Any plans to update (or attempt to update) once the Comixology site is deprecated to work with the Kindle Comics site?
