Cloud particles render colorless outside set range (Multiplayer)

Open Erosion139 opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

A visual bug that is apparent in my multiplayer server is that the clouds become colorless outside a specific range. No matter what the set render distance (client or server) the clouds are still colorless above a certain range. When in single-player this is not an issue, all clouds have color when render distance is set far enough. image

This issue sadly has few fixes for it.

Head into the advanced settings of the mod and search for these options:

set particleShaders to true as it mostly gets rid of those transparent clouds nearby. useEntityRenderHookForShaders can cause problems with rendering, so set it to false if you'd like. Misc_proxyRenderOverrideEnabled can also be a factor in this.

Play around with those three settings and hopefully it will fix this issue. Since I am running shaders along with this mod, I no longer have transparent glitchy clouds like in the image.

That's interesting. I'll have to try this solution and see if it works. Turns out through actually testing a single player world that the biome seemed to be the culprit (it's a biomes o plenty biome) and it had a sort of reduced fog distance.

If this issue is resolved, you may close it ^^ 1.18.2 is released, too, so you may want to give that a try as well! Enjoy!

Weather 2 has been released for 1.18.2? I'm not sure what you mean because the website has not been updated since 2018.

The 1.18.2 version isn't on the website, you have to go to CurseForge to find the 1.18.2 version.

OH that's awesome! I have been checking the site over and over for new releases so I can build a pack around it. How many new versions since 1.12 has he released? What's new?
