Variable Usage: To use a variable in a request after it has been defined, either use the option in the context menu to copy the parameter to the clipboard, or manually insert it by including it as below:

$VAR:VARIABLE_IDENTIFIER$

I think manual may not be convenient,I think intruder automatically adds add$

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, the Burp API doesn't provide a method to modify the contents of message editors at the minute, but this is something to plan to implement as soon as it is possible!
