Feature Request: Ablity to convert an entire block to bits at once and back again

It would be a nice quality of life feature to be able to turn a block into the correct number of bits that you would get from manually removing every bit from a block. As well as be able to turn the bits back into a full block as long as you have enough bits of a certain type to make the corresponding block.
