Possibility of other arcade games?
Hello. I am interested in this project, but not VF5. I prefer playing Cyber Troopers Virtual-On, which is included with Yakuza Kiwami 2. Apart from the Sega Saturn and Windows 95 ports that are woefully outdated, Yakuza Kiwami 2 is the only way to get a legal and modern version of Virtual On apart from the Xbox 360 and PS4 versions that are not available in the US. Furthermore, Sega recently delisted some older arcade releases (Sonic The Fighters, Virtua Fighter 2). This project would be really helpful to players of those games. Is adding support for them even remotely feasible?
On paper, this would be possible, but in practice I suspect almost nothing YAMP does is transferrable to these games. I remember briefly checking Kiwami 2 and even though both K2 and 6 are Dragon Engine, the protocols used for VF2 seemed to be very different.
On top of that, the same shortcomings as in VF5 exist - audio would likely be missing.
