I can't create a character
So, i installed the godfather (not cracked), i put the patch and when i start a new game and i design my character i can't put it a name due to the game crashing, i don't know if the patch is the problem or something else.
Not the first time I have this reported, but so far I have not reproduced it myself.
I believe this is not patch's fault but rather an unrelated issue - you should try that without the patch, though.
It's not the patch, i still getting the same crash, i recently tried with a cracked version and still crashing
This may be a long shot, but do you have any godfather.exe crash dumps in a %localappdata%\CrashDumps directory? If so, pack them and upload them here, please.

Well, i just fixed it with a german crack, now the issue is that the patch doesn't work.
I am aware that German version doesn't work properly with SPGF, did not get that to work yet. I guess you can just create the character with a German EXE, save, then restore to normal EXE and it should work fine with the patch.
I would also appreciate if you mailed me this EXE, so I can take a look at it directly.

Hello I have the french version of the game. Unfortunately your patch does not work. Is your patch compatible only with the English version? thank you in advance.
Tested today and same result as @mike86170 . In my case :
- Install the game in English
- Apply the french patch to got translation
- Apply a No Cd crack (I have the game and neverthless I got the message "cannot find disk" )
- Apply your patch
I released a Build 2 which fixes support for various non-English EXEs. Is this still a problem?

Well sorry about really late response, but i just tested it and now it works, i didn't had any crash. I created a character, everything went okay. Thanks dude!
You fixed a lot of games that i play (gta vc,sa,bully,godfather)

Hello there! Sorry to bring back to life this old thread, but I have the same problem: I've got the italian copy of the game...but the german crack mentioned above doesn't work at all! I mean, when applied, the game doesn't even start. Any suggestions?
I'll need to look into this again, because I know plenty of people have this bug yet it never happened to me.

Well. Hello, im comment in this and bring again this to the table. So.. i cant create my character, having the same issue than @LacosteWave .. I try the french patch and then install the mod and change to english and didn't work. Some help?

German version, still the same issue - German crack makes the game not launch at all, English one works but games crashes when trying to name player character.

Excuse me for bothering you, I suppose you have already abandoned the project, that's why I write to you here, I have the same problem as all of us who have the multi version, inserting the name, the game sends me to the desk,
I have been testing with the files and I have "discovered" what is the file that produces that error is the Frontend_pc.str file, I have used a hexadecimal editor and for me, that I have no knowledge of programming, it is only an indecipherable file, but It is possible that you can decipher it and fix the game to be able to play in all languages, not only in English. I am sure that many people would thank you.

Hi @raulpuro , I saw your comment and contacted a modder who managed to fix the file, tested it in the Spanish version and fixed the game.
