Game doesn't read axis settings

Open Unix0815 opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

Hi there,

It seems like the game doesn't read the calibration settings of analog axis. In the options you can set dead zone and saturation, but they only work for this session. If I restart the game, the saturation value that worked great before, is ignored by the game. Also the dead zone isn't zero, even if I dial it down to it's minimum value. Would be nice to have zero dead zone and working saturation settings.

Another small question. Your patch allows to set the FoV, Is this value the horizontal or vertical FoV?

Any idea if software like XInput Plus helps? Could it be an issue only for specific (e.g. XInput) controllers?

Unlike SP for CMR3, the FOV value in CMR2.0's settings is "fake" and is just a guesstimate based on an altered magic constant, so it's unspecified really.

I actually use a steering wheel. So no xinput. But it happens with any controller I tried. The saturation values of the axis aren't read if you start the game. They're only recognized after you set them up in the config menu. After the next restart they're ignored.

This and the dead zone are my only complaints. I wish I could get rid of that dead zone at least. It's needed on a gamepad but it doesn't feel good on a wheel.
