Night mode extensions do not recognize system mode

When using any of the night mode extensions ("Midnight Lizard", "Dard Reader", or "Dark Background and Light Text"), none of them is able to detect whether the Android system is switched to dark mode or not. Biscuit Browser detects this correctly, but somehow, this information seems not to be forwarded to the extensions properly. Thus, automatic switching to night mode does not work in any of those extensions, although mode of them offer it as a feature.

Would be great if this could be fixed.

The issue at the moment is that the extension looks at the browser's "web dark mode" setting, instead of the browser theme. In the next update, I'll bundle the settings together, so when the app's theme is set to 'follow system', the add-ons work correctly.

Thanks for bringing this feature into release 4.0. There is still one issue: add-on dark mode needs a restart of the whole browser to make a change effective, e.g. after switching to system dark mode. It would be great if switching to dark/light mode would work without app restart.

Sorry about that, I tested it on an Honor 8X where it seems to refresh the app when switching modes, but after trying on a OnePlus and Xiaomi device I can see the issue. I'll make sure this is fixed in the next update.
