Feature? Missing efs/nfs performance option

Is there a way to use the fsc mount option without using a custom build? When cachefilesd is running this allows to cache network files. With some use cases like web sites that are read intensive the speed improvement is impressive. This could be done either with a --fscache option or more generally with --mount-options to support more use cases like --mount-options fsc,noatime
