Batch Processing
Whisper Desktop works just fine, but I'd really like to be able to achieve batch processing using the large language model. I'm on a PC with a PowerColor Fighter AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT Gaming Graphics Card with 12GB GDDR6 Memory. I can't get Whisperer to work. I don't get an error message. It just doesn't do anything. I'm not as technical as most of you people (74 years old but pretty good with computers) so please go easy on me in terms of the complexity of your answer. Thanks.

You probably should've posted an issue in whisperer, anyway sounds like you expected a progress bar, you're not the first, does the Go button change to Cancel? Large model is slow plus it will run 2 at a time with 12GB, so even slower.
Thanks. Where do I find the Whisperer forum to post in? Yes, the Go button changes to Cancel, but then nothing happens for a long time. I’m used to Whisper processing a 2-hour audio in about 20 minutes. I’ll try an experiment and let Whisperer run for the next hour or two and see if anything happens.

Over 2 hours ago I started a batch of 17 10-minute mp3s. Whisperer immediately made wav files out of them. Ordinarily a 10-minute file might take my setup of Whisper about 3 minutes to process. Considering that Whisperer is set to process 10 at once, it seems that it might be able to process 10 of them in about 30 minutes. But as I say, it’s been over 2 hours and so far, no srt files. Also, I don’t hear my GPU’s fan whirring, which usually happens with Whisper. Any suggestions?

well if the button says Cancel, chances are it's fine and still busy.
