Closing. There are a bunch of other issues we've been closing because they're fixed in v5 - and this particular doesn't seem worth backporting, especially as it has a workaround.
The change in #1098 was reverted in 0.27.11 released yesterday, leaving us with the original question from #1076 of why there are the same styles in two CSS files.
