parent nav not working.

Hi, I have installed this on our site and the parent links do not work. The only clear thing that I have changed is the ID on the menu to "nav" and of course changed the following to enable it.

The menu itself is working fine, its just the parent links that are not. Is this a common problem? do you have any tips for fixing this?
