Stable Diffusion with Gradio UI only uses 50% of the available VRAM

While using default stable diffusion settings (512x512 image, 50 steps, plms sampler), Stable Diffusion is only utilizing 50% of the available VRAM on my card, a GTX 1070. This is OpenHardwareMonitor before generating a new image... ...and these are the stats while the image is generating. While temps rose by 20°C, VRAM stayed basically the same. I did a couple of generations, and it takes approx. 2 minutes and 10 seconds to generate an image, versus the 38ish it should take with 8GB of VRAM.
