Stable Diffusion Taking Up Too Much Space

Every time I run Stable Diffusion and generate a few more pictures, my storage on my laptop decreases. Then, when I close Stable Diffusion I gain back some of that storage, but some still gets lost. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?
