Planning, evaluating and tracking stable 8.2 release

Background

Windows Community Toolkit 8.2 is slated to release soon, with 8.2-preview2 already in flight.

Problem

To facilitate a smooth release, we need to:

• Do a full planning assessment for steps needed to finalize the release.
• File, track, evaluate and complete all associated work.

Solution

Tracking creation and completion of individual tasks for the 8.2 release.

• Create comprehensive release notes
• Draft and publish blog post
• Update https://toolkitlabs.dev/
  • Update Uno if needed
  • Verify if SettingsExpander and TabbedView are fixed as per https://github.com/CommunityToolkit/Windows/issues/393#issuecomment-2428036162
  • Verify no unexpected functional issues throughout the wasm gallery
• Update published native app
• Release refactored and improved documentation
