Autofilter menu button gives different (and broken) behavior depending on what is selected

Describe the Bug

Autofilter menu is broken

Steps to Reproduce

Create some data Enable autofilter click in the table range, disable autofilter from the menu (works) or, click out of the table range, disable autofilter from the menu (fails) or, select the whole sheet, disable autofilter from the menu (fails, then works)

Expected Behavior

Enable autofilter works, disable autofilter works, checkmark in menu appears when autofilter is active.

Here is a 47s video showing several different behaviors. 0s-10s: Enable autofilter, click in range, then menu shows checkmark, disable works 11s-25s: Enable autofilter, click out of range, then menu does not show checkmark, disable fails and leaves rows hidden 26s-30s: Now click out of range, then enable autofilter fails (enabling autofilter from out of range sometimes worked before, but it's not in the video) 31s-46s: Enable autofilter, select whole sheet, then menu shows checkmark, disable does not work the first time, disable works the second time. Additional Context

I was using core 23.05 but I tried vs core 24.04 too but it had the same behavior. I also tried with the notebookbar ui but it also had the same behavior.
