Search function in Writer sometimes selects the word, which then modifies the search result
Describe the bug Sometimes the search result gets selected which means that subsequent typing will modify the search result rather than just search
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Open a document
- Start using the search function
- type some letters until you don't have a hit anymore
- then revert until you do
- do that a bit back and forth
- at some point, the input focus will switch to the word and instead the document gets modified rather than the search bar
Expected behavior while typing in the search bar, never switch to typing in the document
Actual behavior document gets modified even though user wanted to modify the search term

With 23.05 I see that search bar looses focus when tab looses focus, so focus goes to the last found word. I will confirm so.
any news here?
This renders the search useless for some documents...

Reproduce: Search for "potential"
I can confirm this issue for writer. I think this happens especially with documents containing tables (with content - as test.odt from above).
Maybe it is related to https://github.com/CollaboraOnline/online/issues/7757
I got a report on this for version 24.04.3-2 but in 24.04.5-1 this issue persists.
Same with 24.04.6.1-1
still in 24.04.7-1
can anyone add label 24.04?
This may have been fixed. Please see if you reproduce with the current version. If you do, please explain if that is random while typing in the search bar, or after tab focus is lost, or in some specific situation as with table. And list exact steps and results.
