Blurry text in presentations
Describe the Bug
When vieweing some slides in presentation mode,
Steps to Reproduce
Slides: 2025-04 - Mark sync module evaluation promise as handled.odp
(EDIT: slides with embedded font)
Open those slides in Google Slides and in Collabora Online.
Expected Behavior
The text should look similar in both.
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.
Actual Behavior
The text in Collabora Online is blurry.
Screenshots
These two screenshots are taken with the same size, so the first one is not more zoomed in than the second one. They use different fonts because the two systems have different fonts available, but this shouldn't affect the text sharpness.
Collabora Online:

Desktop
(Please complete the following information)
- Collabora version: 24.02.13.1
- OS and version: PopOS 22.04 (basically equivalent of Ubuntu 22.04 with X11)
- Browser and version: Firefox Nightly 139.
It also happens in Chrome 135.0.7049.114, but Chrome also has the problem that the orange text has the wrong color.
Additional Context
I am considering migrating my staff from Google Drive to NextCloud+Collabora, and I wanted to see how presentations work :)
This is actual context that will be useful to debug the problem:
- I'm on a 27" 4k monitor, with scaling set to 200%
window.devicePixelRatiois 2
If I zoom out in my browser to 50% (so that window.devicePixelRatio becomes 1, and the page becomes twice as big on both directoins) then even in presentation mode the text is sharp. It seems like the problem is that you are not properly re-scaling the canvas to match the real display pixels.
Also note that this only happens in presentation mode. In editing mode the text is perfect.
I can confirm this - Collabora does not use native resolution for presentation display. This was also the case with version 24, so it is not a new issue, but never got added so far.
