Collabora on GrapheneOS: Deleting more than one character at a time with backspace impossible
Describe the Bug
Deleting more than one character at a time with backspace impossible
Steps to Reproduce
- Create an odt document
- Type a line
- Go back to a former word and try to delete several characters in a row using backspace
Expected Behavior
That I can delete as much as characters in a row as I want
Actual Behavior
After the deleting the first character the second is not deleted anymore
*Edit 10 Dec. 2024
- After typing a single word I can delete as much characters as I want of that particular word using backspace, AS LONG AS I HAVEN'T INSERTED A SPACE.
- Insert a space, and then type a second word.
- When I go back to the first word, I can only delete one character with backspace. After the first deletion further deletions are not possible anymore. So the problem somehow seems to be related to using the spacebar.

Additional Context
Android app installed via Aurora store. This problem has already been occurring for more than a year.
I am experiencing the same issue. I did wonder if it was the keyboard app that could be the issue. Haven't tried with a different one yet.
Edit* just tried with a different keyboard and the issue is still there.

In other apps I don't experience this issue, so it is clearly related to Collabora.
Same thing with the AOSP keyboard in LineageOS. I don't think they have an interest in the open source/degoogled community considering how old this bug is.
Same here with the Android app with calc on a pixel 6 Pro with Graphen OS
This seems like a duplicate of #2438. Please explain if someone does not think so.
Same issue for me. Calc 25.04.6.2. Lineageos 23 (Android 16), though I've been experiencing this for at least 2 years.
@skiwarz can you confirm if this is the same issue as: https://github.com/CollaboraOnline/online/issues/2438 ?

I can't. They look very similar, but in 2438, the author says they can't delete more than 2 characters, whereas here it's 1. Also, 2438 says that you need to close and reopen the document, which is different than here. That all could be typos, but I'm not 100% certain they're the same issue, with what limited surface knowledge I have.
@skiwarz thanks for checking.
