Layout problems in config due to options in grid

Describe the bug

1. The grid for config option description + value creates weird layouts where text is abbreviated while there is still plenty of space left. I would suggest to just get rid of aligning the dropdowns. For just few options, I suggest changing to radio buttons, for many options keepthe dropdown, but just align it with a little space right next to the description.

2. Abbreviated text cannot be read by hovering.
