Menu dropdowns displaced on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (X11)

Describe the bug

When clicking the main menu items, the dropdown menus do not appear in the right locations. They seem to be vertically offset by 25 pixels. This also causes odd mouse interaction behavior with the menus, since clicking on them does not consistently work when offset like this.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Have similar specs:
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (build 14.0.1+7-Ubuntu-1ubuntu1) - 64-bit Server VM
Linux 5.4.0-47-generic #51-Ubuntu x86_64 GNU/Linux
Ubuntu 20.04 (focal) LTS
  1. Use menu options on applicable X11 system
