"Failed to launch Recaf" - Maybe Hyprland related?

I'm getting the following message when trying to launch recaf-launcher:

~/Downloads > java -jar recaf-gui-0.8.3.jar
No updates for Recaf available, we are up-to-date.
Looking in '/home/mfnalex/.config/Recaf' for Recaf/dependencies...
The cached version of JavaFX was too old (18-ea+8).
- Click 'Update' next to the 'JavaFX Version' label in the GUI
Failed launching Recaf: JavaFX on Recaf's classpath was too old

However, no window opens that would allow me to click on any "Update" button

I‘m using KDE Plasma on openSUSE Tumbleweed, using openjdk-21 from the tumbleweed repo

I downloaded OpenSUSE Tumbleweed and the launcher appeared to open just fine.

Mind you, Recaf itself requires 22 or above to run. The launcher will tell you that you cannot run with 21 if that's all you have available.

Is there a small ISO I can grab with a Hyprland environment that I can test on?

Works for me on CachyOS as well. NWG hangs on boot in VirtualBox, so cant test that one atm.
