Describe the enhancement you're suggesting.

Allow for skipping songs even if the queue is empty. It does not make any sense that you'd have to listen to the current song just because there is nothing coming up in the queue, and having to queue a 10 second clip just to be able to skip the current one is a very weird workaround.

The skip command should skip the current song, not "play next".

So, due to the non-trivial changes why is [p]stop not a viable alternative?

I am no longer using this, since it had so many issues and lacked a lot of functionality. So I just did the usual way and wrote a bot myself that fits my needs better.

The stop command cannot be voted by people right (?), so it either requires an admin to be there all the time, which is not feasible, or then that everyone has admin, which is not feasible.

I still think that this is though a completely valid use case, and it feels weird to me that functionality has to suffer due to poorly or spaghetti written code.

would be interested to hear what functionality you are referring to - as when compared to other large music bots it has all, most/more features than most if not all I can think of.
