Good to see you back! =)

One request if that's ok!

I only use this wonderful program for 1 of it's features, which is the hotkey for locking your mouse inside of a window. Is this something that could be added as a saved setting per-application? So that it automatically always locks the mouse for specified apps

Thank you for working on this again!

How do I bring over my settings from the previous version onto the new version?

I will release a separate conversion tool to help migrate

I have been using this tool for a long time and would like to help out managing issues and PRs. if you could use an extra hand. Things like renaming issues to better express their subject, and labeling them properly, to organize it. It is a bit of a mess with people posting whatever/however they feel like. I have an email in my profile, if you're interested in the help :D

Diablo 4 is not working correctly. It leaves a thick black bar at the bottom and a thin one at the right. I'm setting my starting point to 0,0 and the resolution to 2560/1440 with a 5120x1440 monitor. This causes the mouse to be off from where it actually is.

I have the exact same issue, FYI if you're interested there's a bug about this on Blizzard's site:

https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/d4/t/cant-change-resolution/42246/16

This happens with the Windowed Borderless Gaming app too, I'm unsure if this is something that can be resolved within the apps or if this is something that Blizzard needs to address.

@andrewmd5 Sea of Thieves doesn't show up in the list for whatever reason.

EDIT: I take it back, it showed up after relaunching it.

EDIT 2: Nope, nevermind, something wonky for sure with it.

Please make separate issues, for your ... separate issues :)

krestenlaust avatar Jul 27 '23 10:07 krestenlaust

The first post says any issues to post on this issue, I'm assuming to separate version 9.x from 10.x issues.

Drockzoids avatar Jul 27 '23 12:07 Drockzoids

Oh sorry, didn't notice that. I don't manage this repository, so it's up to him to decide

krestenlaust avatar Jul 27 '23 12:07 krestenlaust

Is the source code available for 10.0? I have 10.0.0 installed from Steam, there's a bug (reported) which I was going to see if I could fix, but only 9.5.6 seems to be in the repo.

If it was in the repo, I could push any fixes; I've downloaded the zip from the release above, but like to contribute when I can

linuxgurugamer avatar Oct 19 '23 17:10 linuxgurugamer

Yes, it is on the net8 branch. Which bug is it?

andrewmd5 avatar Oct 20 '23 17:10 andrewmd5

Thanks.

This is the issue:

https://github.com/Codeusa/Borderless-Gaming/issues/622

linuxgurugamer avatar Oct 20 '23 17:10 linuxgurugamer

Thanks, looks like an easy fix. I'll resolve it in the next version.

andrewmd5 avatar Oct 20 '23 17:10 andrewmd5

Oh, ok. FYI, I looked at the net8 branch, it still has the version for 9.5.6, and in the csproj file, the targetframeworkversion is 4.5.2 so I'm just a bit puzzled over how to build the 10.0 version

I use the Steam version, any idea when you will be releasing the next version?

linuxgurugamer avatar Oct 20 '23 17:10 linuxgurugamer

FYI, I built the net8 version locally, added a try/catch around the problematic line (with nothing being done in the catch), so far that seems to have solved the problem

linuxgurugamer avatar Oct 21 '23 23:10 linuxgurugamer

Feedback thus far seems good so I’ll aim to complete the migration to 10.1 by EOY

andrewmd5 avatar Nov 05 '23 10:11 andrewmd5

Nice, I'd appreciate a poke when it does get released, since I'm currently using my locally built version

linuxgurugamer avatar Nov 05 '23 15:11 linuxgurugamer

Latest file gives virus warning for Trojan. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/a15810bb4e49e29191ef909985a569339f0d309d65087aa3cd4f1f16eea162b0

Doesn't happen on 9.5.6.

I'm using BG on triple monitor (mismatched res), so I always have to use set window size to get it to stretch across all three monitors. Have been using the old version for several years without issue.

I'll keep testing but I have noticed that in 10, some instances the program will now expand a window on top of the target. For example, I use it for MSFS2020. If I alt-tab to Edge, the edge window will also expand the width.
It doesn't do this second time when alt-tabbing back and forth. (EDIT: I believe I have resolved this as a Regex issue on my end. My setting for MSFS is "Microsoft Flight Simulator - " to deal with versioning, BUT, this also captures an EDGE tab that has that word in it, and one was open. Fascinating. The other issue below still occurs).

It also does it one time in IL-2 Cliff of Dover Blitz. The plane selection window that can open maximizes the screen for that window to. The next time I open it it doesn't.

RC.1 is now available. Ahead of the full release, all past issues will be closed.

All past issues? How can you be sure it will fix ALL issues? This is REALLY bad issue etiquette, and you even closed this issue, then reopened so it's the only one. There has been no references to a pull request or commit. I will be making a new issue soon so it can be properly referenced.

For all users seeing this, as of right now 10.0.0 does NOT fix any of the crashing issues

The majority of issues were WONTFIX, game specific or not reproducible, hence why v10 has taken so long as I’ve combed through 500+ issues going back years.

I can’t guarantee everything will be fixed, but in terms of the crashes and deadlocks that have been reported, those have been addressed. If the latest release candidate has issues, open a report and it will be addressed. v10 will be the LTS version.
