Since "News" is the default startup view, it should probably be first in the list in the side drawer menu
For some reason, I habitually want to go back to the "startup" screen of every app before I leave it, and for the majority of apps this means tapping at either the top-left or bottom-left (for tabbed apps).
As a conceptual justification, the github.com site defaults to the "news" view, and to return to it you can click the top-left icon.
You're able to change the front page view, so I don't know if we really need this
Yeah, but there's no button to go back to "the front page view". So if you want to go back to News, you have to scan the left side menu to find it. Generally, apps will put their most important view in an extreme corner so that there's minimal cognitive cost to accessing it (and Fitts' Law). The way it's set up right now implies that Profile is the most important page of the app... which is obviously not true.
