Make the Share menu give a proper sharing popout and add actions to it
What exactly does the share button not do right now? Contrary to your description, clicking the share button pops up the iOS share functionality with all the actions available to share that resource.

This is not what a Share button should do. The share button should immediately open the sharing prompt, with the actions included as actions there.
Or, if you prefer to have your own menu (the way it is now), the button icon should probably be changed to not be the share icon but rather something else, like maybe three dots.
I'm all for changing the icon. That system icon was picked because it's named "Action" in the iOS Human Guidelines and is recommended for displaying additional contextual information related to the view - not necessarily going directly to the share view. However, it looks as if most apps use it to go directly to share so I can see why it might be confusing. So, I'm game if changing the icon helps people.
That being said, I'm opposed to putting the actions in the share menu. The share menu is one of Apple's poorest designed UI elements (horizontal scrolling - come on). And putting the current actions, which are all visible at any given time into the share modal which requires people to scroll to find the action they are looking for screams bad UX.
I definitely agree that Apple's share menu is poorly designed.
Yes I agree as well

Does the new Share menu design solve these issues?
