Feature Request: Outreach contact page

Improved outreach contact page via website and other online portals.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. We are getting external stakeholders for C&G who want to find out how to reach out to the group to learn more, but are finding insufficient methods to communicate to the team. We want a place where this intake can be received conveniently in one place and be managed by the team to sort communication efforts and better organize how to respond to these individuals.

Describe the solution you'd like We have considered and want to implement a way to have the contact outreach page connect to a database where we can record the outreach, and this database will be used to take in contact through other means on social media or through a QR code. In this way, we can have individuals who are interested in connecting with us use these different mediums to put in their information for contact that will all deposit into the same database where our team can see who is reaching out to us.

Additional context

• This item is high/medium priority for our Fall 2024 roadmap
• We will need to investigate on the backend how this will be accounted for, but have reason to believe this should be possible with what we have as of now based on previous conversations

Hi @mjnishigaki! I'd like to give this task a shot. I reviewed the user workflow and have a few questions:

• Is the "Outreach contact" page the same as "Get Involved" page (from Figma)?
• Do we already have a UI mockup for the page?
• Is using Google Forms preferred, or are we open to creating our own form?
• I'd like to know more about how connecting to the backend would work. Are there any updates on the backend implementation so far?

Hi @vinhyan! Sorry for the slow reply here. Couple of answers to your questions:

• We don't have a mockup UI for the page yet. I've pinged our UX team to ask what the status is.
• We'd prefer something that can populate a Google sheet, but it doesn't need to be, like, an actually Google Form iframed into the UI.
• There is no plan at the moment to build a backend to integrate with this--we'd prefer that it just trigger an email directly to us ([email protected]) and populate a google form with the relevant info.

Sorry about the late reply on my part! Nissim has reached out to the UX team to confirm about getting the mock ups. I’ll respond to you via email once we have that to send to you.
