Task: Research accessible color palettes for maps

Describe the task

C&G recognizes that the current red-green color palette is not accessible to many users with color blindness. This issue impacts the usability of our maps. We need to research and evaluate more accessible color palettes (e.g., monochromatic, high-contrast) and alternative solutions to ensure inclusivity.

Acceptance Criteria

• [ ] A recommended list of at least three accessible color palette options with supporting research.
• [ ] Review and approval from Traci.

Additional context

Consider palettes that address common types of color blindness (e.g., Deuteranopia, Protanopia). Reference accessibility guidelines such as WCAG for contrast requirements.
