🐞 Scroll does not follow cursor when adding new line ouside of viewport

Open austincondiff opened this issue 2 years ago • 2 comments

Description

Adding a new line that is located outside of the visible viewable editor does not scroll to the new line. However once a character is typed, the scroll position jumps to the new line as expected.

To Reproduce

  1. Open a new file.
  2. Scroll to the bottom
  3. Start adding new lines by pressing the Return key until the cursor is out of view
  4. Notice that the scroll position doesn't follow the cursor
  5. Type a character
  6. Notice that the scroll position jumps to the cursor

Expected behavior

The scroll position should follow the cursor when adding new lines.

Transferring to CodeEdit as this is mostly fixed however the bottom inset needs adjusting.

In my recent testing as of version 0.0.3-alpha (36) this is fixed. Closing.
