Famicom Mini goes to black when scrolling through resolution settings (Genesis core)

While scrolling through the different resolutions in the retroarch settings, my Famicom Mini eventually goes to black. Shutting it off seems to do nothing, requires me to unplug the power.

After some miscellaneous testing, it seems to happen specifically on the Genesis core. For GameGear games, it causes the screen to go black and does not recover. For Genesis games, retroarch closes the game and goes back to the main menu.

This is with retroarch 1.0c and hakchi2 v2.21f.
