MaCoPiX not loading

When I start MaCoPiX from a terminal, no window opens, and no errors are outputted. What's really interesting is when I run 'macopix --help' it has similar behavior; after the help is displayed, the terminal just hangs.

I'm on Arch linux, and I've tried both the PKGBUILD and building directly from here.
