Unmodified installation does not show headers navigation sidebar in posts

Is there something additional that needs to be uncommented somewhere? It looks great on the live demo, but doesn't appear when I install it without making any changes.

Update:

For anyone else having this issue, it's because of the 'jekyll-extract-element' plugin. If you're using GitHub Pages, this plugin isn't supported so it doesn't work.
