Enlarged Font when Text no longer fits

Open oerix opened this issue 6 months ago • 3 comments

Describe the bug
When the text is long that it doesn't fit on the screen the text scrolls and becomes enlarged. What's weird is that with the Calendar card it's constant, but with other cards types like the Media player, it's random.

Tried clearing cache multiple times, same issue unfortunately.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create a new Bubble card
  2. Select Card Type as 'Calendar'
  3. Enable Text Scroll (if available)
  4. Choose a calendar with a long title
  5. See results

Expected behavior
Font size should stay normal and not enlarge when text doesn't fit on screen.

Additional comments
This has been a long outstanding bug, but since it was pretty random I didn't think to report it.

Thank you! 🍻

Hi! This was already reported in the past, and this seems to only happen on iOS.

I never found the cause! But I will try to reproduce it with the calendar card 🙂

Thanks for the feedback!

Hi! Just to say that I've tried again to reproduce this with the exact same conditions, iOS 18.5, HA Companion app... without any success. Do you still have this issue?

Not OP but I still have this bug on iOS using the media player tile when text overflows and scrollable text is set to on. I have tried forcing font size through css to no avail. It seems to resolve if I rotate the screen to landscape and back, but then the animation stops scrolling.

Edit: I should add that it seems like this bug increases the base text size instead of arbitrarily setting it to a higher number. So for example if I set the text size to smaller with css styling, then the bugged text is smaller as well (although still bigger than it should be). This also only happens when the text is too long and starts to scroll.
