unify longrun setups

We have longrun setups that incrementally build off of each other, for example:

  • "MPI AMIP FINE: new target amip"
  • "MPI AMIP FINE: new target amip: topo"
  • "MPI AMIP FINE: new target amip: topo + diagedmf"

We should make sure that these issues are as similar as possible, except for the new feature(s) being added
