Virtual keyboard closed inappropriately while filtering some menus

Describe the bug

In the Android version, the keyboard is closed after every character typed into the filter of some menus (similar to #62247).

The menus I've seen affected are the main, action, debug, and pocket whitelist/blacklist menus.

I could go without filtering most menus, but re-opening the keyboard after every keystroke when I'm setting up whitelists really puts a drag on inventory management.

Steps to reproduce

1. Turn on "Auto-manage virtual keyboard" setting
2. Navigate to (main|action|debug|pocket whitelist) menu
3. Press '/' to open filter
4. Open virtual keyboard
5. Start typing
6. Virtual keyboard closes immediately after first letter is entered

Expected behavior

The virtual keyboard should stay open until I press return/escape or close it manually
