Describe the feature request
Right not bottom cant show disk usage of processes running as root, unless it itself is run as root. This is fine but means you need top copy over your bottom config into root to keep your configuration the same which is somewhat annoying. It would be great if bottom had an option to request the permissions required when running as an unprivileged user (sudo prompt etc) to allow viewing this info from a normal account.
Hm, I could look into that in the future.
For now, would it work as a workaround to just pass in the path to your config file as a flag -C? If that works I guess you could try to alias it.
Definitely not ideal though.
