Language variants

The official LanguageTool browser addon has an option to select what variant of four languages do you use: English, Portuguese, German, and Catalan. Would it be possible to implement it on this plugin?

Without it, it defaults to the Portugal variant of Portuguese, and keeps giving me false flags all over the place when writing on Brazilian Portuguese with auto-detect on. Most of the time I'm setting the language manually, but it's not fun to change it manually all the time when you write in more than one language.

Same here for Swiss German: Auto-detection on the web always correctly picked German (Switzerland) whenever I it applied (like in writing "gross" instead of "groß"). In Obsidian it always insists on German (Germany) variant.

True. I need it for the same thing. I will add it for English, German, Portuguese and Catalan for now.

I'm in the same boat, using constantly German (Switzerland) and not German (German). Would be a huge quality of life improvement.

In general, I have huge problems when writing in multiple languages, as it doesn't get recognized correctly. Supporting the settings, @Rubecks proposed, would help a lot and make it usable for me when mixing multiple languages.
