Welp, yeah, after uninstalling Decky I got the Welcome to Millennium screen when starting Steam. Wonder what's causing the issue for the OP as Decky is Linux only IIRC and...

I was mostly talking about plain text files like `gta.dat`. Combined with ZIP loading I suggested in UAL issues, this could make installing mods as easy as a simple drag'n'drop...

The cutscene after arriving to the "mansion" has this issue as well, by the time Niko slams the table, the desync is roughly 1 to 2 seconds.

The issue could be replicated pretty reliably on my LCDeck, but now I'm on OLEDeck, with the game running at 90 fps, and it doesn't seem to happen anymore.

Felt like trying Proton 10.0 Beta, hoping that the fix mentioned above already landed there, but neither Stable not RC branches seem to have it yet.

Yes, that's why the SteamDeck environment variable override works. Curious why they only enabled it for Deck specifically, similar to the offline functionality in THPS12, btw.
