Backdrop filters appear after text transition completes

Backdrop filters applied to a Textbox item appear after the text transition completes. There appears to be no way of transitioning the backdrop filter with the text. So, the textbox text fades in (according to the transition) without any backdrop, and then, on completion of the text fade, the backdrop suddenly appears.

Am I missing something here? In the above scenario, I expected the backdrop transition to be combined with the text transition.

I'm using 1.3.0-beta.2, but this behaviour was the same in previous versions.
