SMPTE Timecode Send/Recieve
Many churches are using Ableton Live from the stage which outputs SMPTE timecode over the network. They are using this to synchronize to lights, video, audio tracks, and their lyric presentations.
Having the ability to send receive SMPTE timecode would be extremely helpful for churches to do this with FreeShow. For what it's worth, many linux distributions, Ubuntu included, include ableton-link-utils in the repository to enable such a thing, along with ableton-link-dev for the development files.
Looks like someone came up with a node Ableton implementation. Maybe this is how this would be integrated? https://github.com/leolabs/ableton-js
Nice, thanks! Looks promising. I would like to have the timecode universal, or at least work with other programs than just Ableton, but I'll take a look.
