Short wording in right click menu in shows is unclear
Describe the bug The menu items, "Delete Slide" and "Remove Group" do not inform the users as to where the action is going to be performed (ie. is the action performed on the show or layout?).
Reproducing Have some people unfamiliar with FreeShow decide which option to use to remove a song portion from a layout and see what happens.
Version (Optional)
- OS: MacOS and Linux
- FreeShow Version: 1.4.7
Additional context Suggestions:
- Consider changing menu items so that it is clear on what the menu item will act. ie.
- "Delete Slide" becomes something like "Delete Slide from Song" or shorter "Delete from Song"
- "Remove Group" becomes something like "Remove Group from Layout" or shorter "Remove from Layout"
- Consider adding a popup when deleting the slide from song that asked if the user is sure they want to delete the slide as it will be completely removed from all layouts for the song. Consider adding an settings menu option to not have the popup for legacy or experienced users.
I understand that menu wording needs to be concise for space reasons and the above menu item suggestions may be too long. Another idea would be to have menu tips that popup when you hover over a menu item that gives the user more information and clarity.
Thanks for considering this.
I’ve been using FreeShow since v1.3.8 or 9, and I still make the mistake you mention every other week or so. I like your options in bold.
I've updated the labels. I don't think they're too long.

@jzongker Thanks for doing that.
I still think a confirmation popup would be a good idea for the delete option, however I have another idea that I will submit as a feature request to allow locking of song layouts, that I think could also avoid having parts of songs deleted by accident.

It seems to me good the idea, also other aspects to see is that when to a slide already created with everything, to that same one you want to add a new slide and you press the corresponding button to add slide, it is added or the new slide is created without label (without this: verse, chorus, bridge...). ) (All correct so far), but if you want to move the slide up or down (change the order of that slide), it automatically takes the label of the slide where you are moving (up or down), which for me is wrong, it should allow you to move the order without changing the label of the slide.
In this case if it has no label, let it remain unlabeled. Because there are times that for the same reason that it takes the label of the other slide, it changes all the letter that has that same label.

@marcosmolina7 I had this issue too, but I figured out that I was dropping the slides in the wrong place. You can drop slides on slides or between them. When you drop them on a slide the slide is outlined by a colored box. When you drop them between them there is a colored line between the slides. The later can be a bit finicky as to when it shows, especially if you get near the left sides as then it may think you want to drop the slide in the presentation.
Here are some screenshot to illustrate. My highlights are in blue, but I think that may depend on the theming of FreeShow.
I have a chorus slide and want to drop it between the verse 2 and bridge slides. In the first screenshot the bridge slide in selected, but if I move between the two slides the box turns into a line, like in the second screenshot, between the verse 2 and bridge slides and that is where I will drop it to reorder them without changing the group. You can barely see the blue line because the chorus slide covers most of it up, but you see it at the top of the screenshot the best.

Thank you very much @frederickjh , if I understand how you do it, because I reordered in the Edit section, and I think that there you can hardly see the line either, but I will start doing it for the moment as you say.
It would be nice if maybe that line animation was a little thicker, it would help to know if you want to replace the slide or if you want to change the order. And add that option too, in the edit section, since reordering can only be done in the normal section.
Yeah this has been a problem: https://github.com/ChurchApps/FreeShow/issues/693#issuecomment-2255167635 I think the fix by @jzongker is the best one, as I can't think of any more clear labels.
