Re-assigning a slide from an existing group to a new removes slide
Describe the bug When trying to re-assign a slide, that has already been assigned to a group as a 'unit', causes the slide to be deleted.
Reproducing
- Start with a song with all slides set to VERSE group (Each slide indicates "Verse 1, Verse 2, etc.)
- Ctrl-Click Slide A & B (so that you can set them as a group)
- Right-click and change the group to VERSE (this sets A&B to be Verse 1)
- Right-Click on Slide B (by itself) and change the group to CHORUS
Instead of Slide B now being CHORUS, it is deleted.

Version (Optional)
- OS: Both Windows 10/Linux (Kubuntu 25.04)
- FreeShow Version: 1.4.7
Additional context This usually happens when the song is improperly assigned to groups when setting up the song. If you catch this when you are initially setting up the song you can easily un-do the ctrl-group setting by using Ctrl-Z; however, if this was done by someone else in a different session (esp. when synchronized) there doesn't appear to be any way to split slides A & B (that are now VERSE 1), other than manually typing in a new slide. If you try to duplicate slide B (while it is 'grouped' with Slide A), the copy becomes part of that same grouping, and trying to change that copy's group to something else results in deleting the slide just like when trying to change Slide B's group.
Thanks. It's just removed from the layout, not deleted (you can find it on the right side). But I'll fix this.
Thanks. And thanks for pointing out that it's along the right side. I've not used that right side area for slides. VERY helpful.
