Bedrock launcher unable to communicate with Bedrock on iPadOS or iOS.

Simply put both my original Mac Pro and my iPad Air 2 are both running the exact same version of the game (1.16.210), however both could not see each other to connect to over my wireless network. I oddly have had this also happen on my iPad communicating with my younger siblings iPads, so I really can't say if it's a Minecraft Bedrock issue or a wireless network issue.

If you haven't already tried, do xbox live friend joining.

  • Login on each device with a different free xboxlive account or create one
  • Go to xbox.com and link the account as friends
  • Now you should be able to see the other devices as friends as long you have internet.

This method may even works, if the game cannot locate the other game. Especially the macOS version of the Launcher seems to have local joining problems (unknown reasons, I'm not a mac user)
