group settings inheritance for users

Is it possible to make that group settings include some common settings for new creating users n this group?

I don't know what you mean by "group settings". A group does not have any settings other than id and name. You also don't create users in groups you assign a user to one or more groups. Maybe you mean that when adding a user, a certain group is preset so you don't have to select it?

i think may be in future versions =) it will be really usable, that when you add new user, settings will inherit from group settings. For example, home folder, or company name.

If anyone wants to implement this, please use a separate table for the pre-defined user values. This is something proftpd does not need to know so we do not need to bloat the existing groups table.
