📜 What part of Winutil are you having issues with?

Updates

📝 Provide a clear and concise description of the issue.

After using Tech Titus Utility and selecting “Disable all updates”, Microsoft Store applications fail to install. In the Microsoft Store, apps remain stuck in “Queued” indefinitely. Similarly, when installing applications via winget, the installation process remains stuck at “Installing” and never completes. When reverting the update settings back to “Default Windows settings” in Tech Titus Utility, both Microsoft Store and winget installations work normally again.

🔄 Steps to reproduce the issue.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

Open Tech Titus Utility.

Navigate to the Updates section.

Click “Disable all updates”.

Open Microsoft Store and attempt to install any application.

Observe that the app remains stuck in “Queued” indefinitely.

Alternatively, open PowerShell and attempt to install an app using winget.

Observe that the installation remains stuck at “Installing” and never completes.

Return to Tech Titus Utility, set updates back to “Default Windows settings”, and repeat the installation.

Observe that installations now complete successfully.

❌ Paste the full error output (if available).

No response

🖼️ Additional context.

I attempted multiple fixes, including uninstalling and reinstalling Microsoft Store, but the issue persisted. Additionally, the Xbox app installer is also unable to complete installing while updates are disabled. All installations only start working again after reverting the update configuration to “Default Windows settings” in Tech Titus Utility.

Yes it does, but the the setting called Disable all updates is supposed to only disable the updates, not to make another apps stop working. I personally just kept the Default Windows settings and then paused auto updates in gpedit, and it works!
