Open slopsec opened this issue 1 year ago • 4 comments

Describe the bug

FoD packages are unable to be removed in Enterprise images.

It is as the title suggested.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Run thecommand in an elevated Powershell terminal.
  2. Click on Microwin.
  3. Scroll down to where you see the box to select a directory for the image.
  4. select the directory, allow the first part of the process to complete then move on to the second part.
  5. Fill out a username, password and any drivers you with to import or inject then hit start process.
  6. The command-line will show an output of what the second part of the MicroWin script is doing.

Expected behavior

The removal of FoD and Enterprise specific packages for metadata and telemetry.

Actual behavior

The FoD and Enterprise specific packages weren't removed.

Additional context

I know that Windows 10 Enterprise is probably far from the intended audience of MicroWin, but for those few privacy enthausists that do like to take advantage of group policies, it would be nice if the Windows 10 and 11 Enterprise images were properly supported.

The reason for package removal errors is right there. This can happen if the package is permanent or has been superseded by a newer one

I can see that. Thought that the issue was worth reporting so that it can be addressed.

Sadly, there's not much to do in that case
