After installing another application that downloaded some Microsoft dependencies the MSVC-related errors are gone, subsequently KeePassXC got also fixed as a side-effect.

Hi Chris. I love your app and how nice it is not to have manually run winget to install things. :)

I did run into a small issue with accessing the local user account for a client of mine, and I am sure its nothing more than just wrapping the folder name in double-quotes. The use has '()' in her user name which threw an exception as part of the installation with winget. However, the installation still worked fine, so just a cosmetic fix.

Here is the error message: (the ~~~~ should be underlining her name inside the '(Emma)' but the non-fixed font bugged the alignment up)

Hi Chris. I've got a question. After applying your desktop tweaks the transition speed of the context menu's get much more snappier. But I think it's too much snappy for my liking. Is there anyway I could go back to the stock transition speed without losing any of your other tweaks?

Great tool! I really like it that it shows software alternatives worth trying out. If you want to make a desktop shortcut you can use:

C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe "Start-Process -Verb RunAs powershell 'irm christitus.com/win | iex'" 

(include the last quotes) when making a new shortcut on, for example, the desktop. The first PowerShell command elevates the second PowerShell instance, that runs the command Titus gives you. So no need for "run as Administrator" option needed (this won't work on the shortcut anyway, I found out). Enjoy!

Hey, firstly i want to say thank u for the great tool. It has made my windows experience a lot better. Theres only one issue, whenever i set the recommended tweaks for desktop + disable uac and remove cortana, my windows updates get blocked. And nothing i try works, i went to the registry on both current user and local machine and cant find a dword for it that i can remove. Also i went to gpedit.msc and every option is set to "not configured". Is there a way i can get the updates back ? I also tried to reinstall windows multiple times but nothing changed.

Sup Chris. Your tool did help on battery and processes for my laptop but when I try to reset the update settings with your tool I get this:

The lack of updating to 22H2 break the laptop. Letting it stay ideal doesnt help.

When Enabling Ultimate Performance for Power Options, at least on Win 10 Pro, there is no verification run if this feature was already enabled. So, after i [accidentally] clicked it 4 times, i ended up with 4 versions of Ultimate Performance option in the Power Options menu.

The tool is amazing. I'm wondering if anyone knows if you can turn browser suggestions back on? It's locked in browser (edge) setting. I'm guessing it's a registry edit, but I don't know which one to edit. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Chris, have you ever seen this script BSOD on a Ryzen 5 5600, 32GB memory on an MSI B550 Gaming Pro MB or any spec similar? For some reason it did that on mine. I may not be running the fastest system on the market, but that was odd.

For some reason screen capture within the Game DVR is disabled , even though I unchecked 'Disable DVR'

Chris, I just used the utility and see in the configuration panel "Setup Autologin" This does not seem to work. I first ran it on Windows 10 Professional 64-bit 21H2 (OS Build 19044.1741): I click the button, but nothing happens and when I reboot the machine, I have to press enter on the opening screen and then enter the password. When I got back to the office, I tried it on my Windows 10 Pro 1909 (OS Build 18363.1556) and nothing happens when I click the "Setup Autologin" button. Just a note: 1909 still has netplwiz and my 1909 system is already cleared the check box for "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer."

Great tool. Regarding "Upgrade installs" It would be great if there would be the possibility to choose which updates/upgrades to install. If that's possible in your approach.

Is there a possibility of getting a button for restore all to Microsoft Factory settings? (possibly to reinstall Edge and Defender) Even if the button just says xxx can not be restored and requires a windows reinstall, that way there is a list of the things you can not restore once you remove them.
